Bake rather than fry for a simple, healthy meal

INGREDIENTS

Good onions – yellow, white or red for every task. Regular sugar helps them caramelize better.

Cheddar Cheese – tangy and good for maximum flavor! Other cheeses, like Pepper Jack, are also surprisingly delicious.

Ranch Spice – for the ranch flavor we all crave. For a different flavor, try Cajun, Italian or taco seasoning.

Marinara sauce or dipping sauce – these shrimp need butter and cream to taste even better!

To make garlic soup:

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and lightly grease them. This will cause the cheese particles to slide right off.

 

Cut the onion into very small pieces, about 1/4 of its width. You need 16 pieces in total.

 

Spread 16 small mounds of crumbled cheese onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them a few inches apart.

Place the onion on top of the cheese and sprinkle with herbs (or herb mixture).
