Air fryer fried potatoes

INGREDIENTS:

4-5 medium potatoes (e.g. Russet or Yukon Gold)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme or parsley) for garnish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Wash and peel potatoes (if desired), then cut into small pieces. Make sure the pieces are relatively even in size to ensure even cooking.

Place the potato pieces in a large bowl.Drizzle with olive oil, then add salt, pepper, and optional seasonings like garlic powder and paprika.

Toss the potatoes in the bowl until they are evenly coated with oil and spices.

Preheat your deep fryer to 190-200°C (375-400°F).

Once the air fryer is preheated, place the seasoned potato pieces in the air fryer basket. Depending on the size of your deep fryer, you may need to do this in multiple batches to avoid overcrowding.Cook the potatoes in the air fryer for about 15 to 20 minutes. Shake or stir every 5 to 10 minutes to ensure even cooking. Cooking time may vary depending on the size and type of your air fryer, so keep an eye on it.

The potatoes are ready when they are golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You can check the doneness by poking a piece of potato with a fork or knife to see if it is soft inside.

Once the fries are done, remove them from the basket and place them on a serving platter. If you like, you can garnish them with fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme or parsley.

Serve fried potatoes hot in your air fryer as a side dish or enjoy with your favorite sauce

Enjoy!
