Garlic Bread with Cheese

 

INGREDIENTS:

1 loaf Italian bread, halved lengthwise

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

 

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.

Place the bread halves on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are crispy.

For a golden, cheesy crust, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.

Let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
